Porn: The Ultimate Waste of Time

Waste_Of_Time

Warning: this post might cause you to get angry enough to make REAL changes in your life.

Imagine how many great things could be accomplished if guys didn’t spend so much time looking at pornography.

I dare you to count up the hours you wasted watching porn each year. Just a simple calculation: average hours spent watching per day multiplied by 365 days.

Let’s say John, before he gave up porn, watched for an average of 2 hours per day (sometimes more, sometimes less – 2 hours average).

2 hours per day x 365 days in a year. That’s 730 hours, or 30 full days of watching porn. If it were all at once, that would be one full month of watching porn, without sleep.

No wonder our brains are messed up.

Think about what John could have done with that time. He could have written a novel. He could have started a business. He could have turned himself into an ambitious, attractive man that women love.

The guys that are really getting the shit done — The Richard Bransons and Tim Ferriss’ of the world — do you think they’re at home watching porn? No. They’re out making shit happen and getting laid.

They don’t have time for porn because they’re too busy living amazing lives.

You might be saying to yourself: But Brian, I don’t watch 2 hours a day. I watch half an hour per day. Well, that’s still over a full week of watching porn over the course of a year. 182.5 hours.

What could you do with 30 minutes each day for a year? You could learn how to play guitar or learn to speak another language. I know plenty of very fit guys (myself included) who work out only 30 minutes a day. Want to lose those love handles? Give up the porn!

It’s okay to be angry with yourself about past mistakes – about the time you’ve let slip away. Sometimes you have to feel the pain to change. But the most important thing is that you focus on changing your life NOW. You have to realize how important it is to your quality of life to quit NOW and stay quit.

So lets take those hours and fill them with something meaningful.

Peace.

News: Recently, I commissioned a professionally recorded mp3 to help guys who have cravings for porn. It’s called “The Craving Crusher”.  Yeah, cheesy. I know.  :)

    Comments

    1. I’m learning how to play the guitar. I was addicted for 15 more years.

    2. Reading and sleeping more hours. It had been a while since I read consistently, plus I was tired all day.

    3. Very good point. I have been thinking about this a lot myself lately. Not only does it waste away precious time that could be spent doing so many other things, but what does it really accomplish anyway? NOTHING AT ALL!
Work on improvements and life will be much healthier and happier in the future!

    4. I have wasted so much time and sanity on porn, now I have the perfect job, the perfect career path, all I need is to quit watching this garbage and start being even more productive and it’ll help me to get laid more often
